The Latino Cultural Center proudly presents Hecho en Dallas / Made in Dallas,
an annual juried exhibition of Dallas area artists. In its 5th year. Hecho
en Dallas / Made in Dallas features twelve talented artists from the Metroplex:
Mirtha Aertker, Eric Chavera, Li-Yu Chen, Charlotte Cornett, Oscar Duran,
Loretta Gonzalez, Susan Lecky, Maria Teresa G. Pedroche, Michale Reeder,
Arthur Stephens, Michael Tichansky and René West. The exhibition features
recent artworks in a variety of mediums, including photography and printmaking.
Hecho en Dallas / Made in Dallas 2008 will run through Saturday, August 30th,
2008. Gallery hours: Tuesday–—Saturday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Free
to the public.
Opening reception with the Artists Thursday, July 24th, 2008 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Hecho en Dallas / Made in Dallas Exhibit is an annual juried exhibition that
showcases recent work by professional artists who reside and are active in
the artistic environment of Dallas area. The exhibition was conceived by
the Latino Cultural Center in recognition of the talented pool of artists
whose creative endeavors give vitality to the cultural life in Dallas. For
the 2008 edition of this annual exhibition, Viola Delgado, Gallery Coordinator
and the guest jurors reviewed 89 applications and selected twelve artists
for the exhibition. Serving as jurors were Phillip Collins, Enrique Fernández,
and artists Ivonne Acero and Benito Huerta.
